Rest In Peace Dick Clark
Being an old radio guy myself, I grew up wanting to be Dick Clark. Having the top bands in the world stop by to play their music and chit-chat would be a dream come true! And pretty girls dancing at the same time? Wow, my idea of heaven!
Go off to that Great Bandstand in the Sky Dick. You will be forever in our musical dreams.....

Pop goes the Country!
I'm a music fan, short, but sweet. I absolutely listen to everything. If I had to pick a genre that was my least favorite, then I'd have to say NEW Country. Not the classic Patsy or Hank Sr., but the new sloppy stuff. I wont go too deep. With that said, there's a new album out that features Lionel Richie reworking his songs with some of the major country stars of today. Now, I grew up with my mother blasting Lionel on our stereo and I like his songs, no doubt. I've got to say this....His new album (old songs) with the Country help is GREAT. He's got some people on there that are the top 10 of Country radio. Blake Shelton, The chick from Sugarland, Hootie and others. I'd have to say, the Hootie song is a favorite. Darius Rucker has found his niche in Country. How would have thought!

Emmy's...Another Load Of Garbage!
I guess this is my first blog, I'm sure someone is excited! How about those Emmy's? I don't understand why Jimmy Fallon had to do all the intros with his guitar. Funny a few times, that's it! I love Jimmy, but he seemed a little star-struck by it all!
Award shows, what are they? It's the chance for people to give each other prizes for what they think is special and outstanding! What does that mean to the average viewer? Nothing! We're just witnesses to rich a$$holes patting each other on the back. We the fan have no input into who deserves what and if the Grammy's are any indication, the awards don't always go to the talented ones!
Whatever! The band for the broadcast was smoking, that's a positive. The moral of this story? Award shows suck and we people are stupid for watching them! They can give each other awards, but don't broadcast to us shmucks!!!!
